BALHAM COTTAGE COURTYARD FAMILY GARDEN RENOVATION

PROJECT SCOPE & SCALE

£16,047.31 (Fully Itemised Quotation)

A comprehensive £16k family-focused garden renovation designed to improve safety, usability, and visual appeal, integrating elevated tumbled limestone and bespoke brick masonry.

ARCHITECTURAL HARDSCAPING

  • Structural Raised Base: Construction of a reinforced raised area (2.90m x 2.80m) to support the patio. Engineered with shuttering plywood, a poured ballast/cement mix, and heavy-duty reinforcement mesh to ensure zero cracking and movement.

  • Precision Limestone Paving: 28.2m² of Dijon Tumbled Limestone Pavers (600x400x30mm) laid flawlessly across a multi-zone layout. Finished with Kerakoll #43 'Limestone' grout, back-buttered with primer, and protected with Lithofin MN Stain Stop sealant for ultimate, slip-resistant longevity.

  • Bespoke Brick Architecture: Custom-built raised bed planters constructed from 500 Cottage Facing Bricks. Internally waterproofed with Black Jack to ensure absolute structural integrity and prevent moisture bleed. Includes geometric brick pathway detailing linking the planters.

HORTICULTURE & BESPOKE FEATURES

  • Biological Sub-Base: Excavation of trenches and planters, enriched with jumbo bulk bags of premium topsoil to prime the biological foundation for deep root establishment.

  • Child-Safe Flora: A low-maintenance, English Cottage Garden planting scheme featuring safe, tactile plants adding layered texture and seasonal interest without demanding high upkeep.
